Our Network Design & Integration Process
STS Global is experienced in the construction, installation and integration of all the various subsystems within a telecommunication network. STS Global is skilled in managing the efforts of each of the team members who have been chosen for their expertise in the various areas. STS Global and/or their alliance partners have demonstrated experience in each and every system/subsystem required for implementation of a successful facility.
Project Management and Coordination
STS Global has the experience and capability to provide for the management and co-ordination of all system and subsystems implementation, tests, and proof of performance, as well as, all necessary functions needed for successful operation of the system within the agreed timetable.
Project Management Process
Projects are managed in accordance with the provisions of the System Implementation requirements and the criticality of the targeted service date.
As a part of the project management process, STS Global provides to the Customer a “System Implementation Plan” that delineates all of the steps necessary to make the project a success. As a minimum, the plan provides for a series of meetings, reports, and reviews, all designed to assist in managing the project successfully. Each element designed to minimize project risk, control costs, and management schedules. Key individuals required to carry out the tasks are identified and their area of responsibility clearly defined.
System Specifications and Design
One of the processes that STS Global does on a routine basis to help insure quality is write comprehensive specifications for the systems and subsystems that are used in the implementation of the communication system that is contracted for. For each system and/or subsystem, STS Global also writes a separate Statement of Work (SOW) to supplement the specification document. The specification details the electrical, mechanical, environmental performance of the system. The SOW defines quantity, schedule, site location, and other details specific to the purchase such as testing, training, documentation and spares requirements.
STS Global provides documentation to the highest standards in the industry. Working in concert with all of the members of the team, a complete set of facility and all system and subsystem documentation will be provided. The Contractor/team will supply operations and Maintenance manuals for each and every critical piece of equipment and/or subsystem supplied. Included in the documentation package will be architectural drawings, technical documentation, proof of performance documents, block diagrams, interconnection diagrams, wire run lists, test plans and procedures, and assembly drawings for any unit specifically designed for the facility.
STS Global will specify a training program that will provide for the proper and efficient operation of the facility and its associated systems. It is recommended that engineers with specific knowledge of the system being trained on provide training so as to assure the level of technical understanding is high. In general, we prefer to have an engineer who has been involved in the design and/or qualification of the equipment to give the course. It is recommended that factory representatives from the supplier of the hardware conduct hardware training. The Project Engineer, or an engineer who was involved in the design and implementation of the systems being supplied, should conduct “On the Job” training.
Based on a detailed reliability analysis for the equipment provided, the redundancy philosophy selected, vendor data, and past experience with the equipment, STS Global will recommend a detailed list of spare parts for all systems necessary to operate the system without interruptions.
